This is a book about how we may be acting against our own best interests and miss opportunities in which someone wants to bestow generosity on us. It's also a book about recognizing where we missed the mark and our need to provide restitution of some kind. To do both shows our integrity.
Back in 2014, I consulted with a marketing expert about my desire to promote kindness as a marketing tool. She said, "Don't. It's too woo-woo." I heeded her advice and did nothing. However, years later, society appears to need kindness more than ever. So, here I am dusting off the material I began to compile for this book. It's no longer 15 years of observing and experiencing a lack of awareness of human kindness, but 25 years.
I have a lot to write about... including the heroes and foes I encountered.
